Linda Sibiya lands a role on ‘Uzalo’
Linda Sibiya has shown he’s a man of many talents as the legendary radio personality joins the cast of ‘Uzalo’ on SABC 1.
The legendary radio broadcaster, Linda Sibiya, who previously worked at Ukhozi FM will debut in Uzalo season ten.
HIS ROLE IN ‘UZALO’
The former Ukhozi FM radio personality, who is known as “Mr Magic” confirmed to Zimoja that he’s joined Uzalo.
The publication reveals that he will play himself as a radio legend who joins K-Mash FM (the fictional radio station on the soapie).
“I am so happy to join Uzalo and I will be playing myself which is something that comes natural. I have done more TV presenting than acting. I have been presenting shows since 2001.”
A source from Uzalo revealed to the publication this week that Sibiya’s role was created specifically for him to add more numbers to the show.
“The show is doing well already but producers want more numbers and with Linda’s huge following and with someone like him on the show. He is definitely going to bring more people.”
The legendary radio personality added that he’s over the moon about his latest character and will debut on Thursday, 29 February.

LINDA SIBIYA: UKHOZI FM
Sowetan reported in 2018 that the Uzalo actor, Linda Sibiya hosted a popular breakfast show on Ukhozi FM, when he got dismissed.
The publication adds that he and Lwazi Thathakahle were accused of swindling Edcon nearly R1.8 million in 2015. The money was meant for a gala dinner in KwaZulu-Natal .
Thathakahle, who was the head of department in Edcon was accused of misrepresenting the company in the drafting of the deal with Sibiya.
Speaking to Sowetan, Sibiya said he didn’t want the matter to go on trial and drag. It’s better to pay them because he wants to focus on his business and other things.
He added that he wanted to finish the matter so he can deal with Ukhozi. It’s either they give him back his show or they pay him his money for a year and a month.
