BONGANI NTANZI CONFESSION
The startling confession by Ntanzi, and a second by another accused, Muzi Sibiya will be entered into the Pretoria High Court as evidence after Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng made the ruling on Thursday, 14 March that the confessions are admissible.
Ntanzi and Sibiya were contesting the admissibility of their confessions, in a trial within a trial, claiming that they were forced into confessing to the crime after being assaulted by police.
The two had previously testified that their confessions were made under duress, after being tortured and forced to sign what they were police doctored statements of their admission to the crime.
Ntanzi’s confession which was read out to the court by State witness, Colonel Solomon Raphadu details how he was briefed to plan the hit on Senzo, by Kelly Khumalo.
He claims he was paid an amount of R45 000 to pull off the murder and was first paid R15 000 on Sunday, 26 October 2014, on the evening Senzo was killed, and received a further R30 000 a few days later.

IS IT A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE KELLY KHUMALO IS ARRESTED?
This isn’t the first time Kelly, a mom of 3 has been implicated in the murder of the former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.
In July 2023, Kelly was accused of being in contact with one of the men accused, Sifisokuhle Nkani Ntuli months before Senzo was gunned down at her family home in Vosloorus.
The first call, which lasted 2-minutes, on 02 August came through to Kelly’s number at 22h47, when the mother of 3 was in Kimberley, whilst the second call was all of 98-seconds.
This was revealed by SAPS National Cold Case Unit Colonel Lambertus Steyn, who analyzed cellphone data records of all the occupants who were inside the house at the time.
The occupants of the house included, Kelly, her sister Zandie, their mother Ntombi Khumalo, Zandie’s boyfriend at the time, Longwe Twala, and two of Meyiwa’s friends – Mthokozisi Thwala, the cousin of Senzo’s wife and Tumelo Madlala the footballer’s childhood friend.
