Jonathan Majors dropped by Marvel amid guilty assault verdict
Actor Jonathan Majors has been dropped by the Marvel Universe and Walt Disney following his guilty assault verdict.
American actor Jonathan Majors has been dropped by Marvel Studios and the Walt Disney corporation shortly after he was convicted of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

JONATHAN MAJORS DROPPED BY DISNEY AND MARVEL
On the 18 December, a Manhattan jury found Jonathan Majors guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment following a two-week trial that stemmed from a March incident that occurred between the actor and his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
Prior to his arrest in March of this year Jonathan Majors was positioned as the key figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the Disney-owned studio building its entire current story arc around Majors’ Kang the Conqueror, character.
Kang the Conqueror is the time-traveling villain that was present in this year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania as well as present in both seasons of Loki.
Jonathan was going to lead the new Avengers: The Kang Dynasty which was set to be released on the 1 May 2026. According to the Hollywood Reporter the feature is still currently in the script phase and has not begun filming.

FOUND GUILTY OF ASSAULT AND HARRASSMENT
Major’s ex-partner, Grace Jabbari is a 30-year-old choreographer who he met on the set of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
During their trial she testified that grabbed Majors’ phone after seeing a text message from another woman. Jabbari explained that as Majors attempted to forcefully retrieve his phone from her, she felt “a hard blow” across her head that resulted in bruising, swelling and substantial pain.
During the former couple’s trial, the six-person jury found Jonathan Majors not guilty on one count of intentional assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree.
According to Variety magazine, the actor was seen wearing a dark grey suit and seated in the courtroom with his attorneys and current girlfriend, actor Meagan Good. It is reported that he did not react when the verdict was read.
Judge Michael Gaffey set a sentencing date of the 6 February 2024. Majors could face up to one year in jail, but he could also be sentenced to probation.
