Former Orlando Pirates star earning over R276k weekly wage in Ligue 1
After a four-year stint in South Africa, the former Orlando Pirates star joined the French Ligue 1 in 2019 and has earned a fortune.
Undoubtedly, Marshall Munetsi has been winning big since his transfer from Soweto giants Orlando Pirates to Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims.
The 27-year-old midfielder maestro signed from Orlando Pirates in 2019 and has since marked over 100 appearances for the French outfit.

Munetsi has been topping trends after he was named in Ligue 1’s team of the week after he hit a brace of assists in Stade de Reims win over Lille in the Ligue 1.
He returned to the starting XI with a bang. In the backdrop of his performance, his former club, Orlando Pirates, was implicated in the mix by fans back home.
Despite leaving in 2019, many were more than convinced that he was a pure talent the club could have kept.

This has undoubtedly been the same conversation Mzansi has had after FCSB revealed that Siyabonga Ngezana was now worth R141 million despite barely joining the 26-time Romanian giants this year.
In the just-ended transfer window, Ngezana joined the club in an R12 million transfer deal. Like Ngezana, Munetsi’s market value has skyrocketed, and many have been puzzled by his weekly wage.
Earlier this year, he signed a contract extension with the club.
His new contract extension will keep him at the French Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims until the end of the 2026/27 season. According to Capology, he is the 8th highest paid star at Stade de Reims with a weekly wage €13.846, which amounts to R276 476
However, of interest is the fact that the Zimbabwean talisman gives 10 percent of his salary to his foundation.

CAREER
He started his career with Ubuntu Cape Town in 2015 after failing to impress during the Orlando Pirates trials the same year.
The Zimbabwean midfielder joined Baroka FC in 2016 before leaving for Orlando Pirates in 2017.
At Pirates, he made 28 appearances during his two-year stint before joining Stade de Reims in 2019.
