Elon Musk concerned about Japan’s low birth rates
Elon Musk has been pretty vocal about his concerns about the world’s declining birth rates.
South African-born US-based business mogul Elon Musk has been pretty vocal about his concerns about the world’s declining birth rates over the last few weeks. Previously, the SpaceX and Tesla founder once joked that he would be having enough children to populate Mars – a planet that the genius has always felt passionate about exploring and living on.
He has also shared his thoughts on there not being enough babies born anymore in the past.
Meanwhile, he recently spoke up about Japan’s low birth rate and worries that the country may soon disappear if more babies don’t get made soon.
ELON MUSK STILL ON ABOUT LOW BIRTH RATES
Elon Musk is quite the family man and we didn’t even know it.
The billionaire has fathered 10 children so far and it appears that he won’t be stopping anytime soon.
In fact, the 51-year-old once joked that “Mars needs people” after he was asked by podcaster Mark Cuban how many children he plans on having.
According to Cuban, who joined the Full Send podcast on Thursday, he once texted the billionaire Tesla CEO after the birth of one of his children to congratulate him.
“I’m like, ‘Dude, congratulations, how many are you going to have?.’ He sends me a text back, ‘Mars needs people,’” Cuban said.
Previously, Musk also spoke about how underpopulated the world is.
In fact, he was even criticised for encouraging people to continue having children to help populate the planet.
In 2022, a very adamant Musk even tweeted, “If there aren’t enough people for Earth, then there definitely won’t be enough for Mars.”
JAPAN’S BABY PROBLEM
This year, Musk’s insistence on populating Earth became clear after he bemoaned the fact that Japan’s birth rates are declining.
Taking to his app X, the Tesla billionaire responded to a post about the country’s falling birth rates.
“Japan will disappear if something doesn’t change.” he wrote.
In the comment section, many agreed with the famous mogul. Others however slammed him.
“The only guy on this app that’s obsessed with plunging birth rates while at the same time complaining about immigrants despite he himself being here illegally at one point.”
