Alyssa Smith, at the youthful age of 26, hails from the vibrant province of KwaZulu-Natal. She’s not only an accomplished attorney admitted to the High Court but also a passionate volunteer. She is also a staunch advocate for Community Social Investment (CSI) projects.
As a Miss World South Africa finalist, Alyssa envisions her role as a platform to showcase the wealth of South African identity to the world. Her motto? “We are united in our diversity.” Through her service, she aims to inspire ambition that empowers not only individuals but entire communities and our beloved nation.

PHILANTHROPY
Alyssa’s dedication to making a difference shines through her extensive volunteer work. This is a staple for most Miss World South Africa finalists. She has served on the CSI Committee, and collaborated with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Rise Against Hunger.
She has also provided pro bono legal training to Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises. Her commitment to youth empowerment is evident in her founding of the Webber Wentzel Leadership Programme.
Alyssa’s involvement in diversity & inclusion, employment equity committees, and the ESG Committee underscores her mission to contribute to societal reform. She tends to achieve this by aligning businesses with transformative sustainable development goals.

It’s a testament to her vision for positive change and her dedication to improving lives.
In Alyssa’s words, “My hope for South Africa is that we, as a people, begin to reawaken to the reality of who we are. We should unite, speak as one, and rise as a nation, reestablishing our position as the powerhouse we’ve always been.”
