ANNE HATHAWAY’S UNION
Initially approved for the shoot, it seemed everything was in order. This was until members of her union joined the Condé Nast picket line outside the publisher’s One World Trade Center headquarters.
The unionized staffers, including those from Vogue, GQ, and Vanity Fair, were protesting alleged “unlawful bargaining tactics” after the announcement of staff layoffs by Condé Nast.

Although the Vanity Fair shoot reportedly adhered to all union guidelines, the solidarity displayed by SAG-AFTRA compelled Hathaway to rethink her participation.
