TWO SUSPECTED HIT MEN FOUND IN SWAZILAND, ‘LINKED’ TO AKA AND TIBZ’S MURDERS
The information was shared on social media. Netizens were convinced that the suspects were linked to AKA and Tibz’s murder case. The late celebrity chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane and his rapper friend AKA— real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes were gunned down in Florida Road, in Durban, on 10 February 2023.
According to the publication, members of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) pounced on two suspected ‘hit men’ on Friday. The two South African brothers aged 28 and 29 were said to hail from Durban are wanted by police in their country. They are allegedly wanted by South African police to assist with information in the murder cases including that of a musician and three taxi owners.
It was also reported that “the artist and his friends were reportedly gunned down in February last year. The musician was reportedly standing outside a restaurant when a gunman walked up to him and shot him in the head. He (musician) died instantly.”
It’s said that the duo and another man who was away when their hideout was busted are allegedly also wanted for money laundering and kidnapping
KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi has responded to the claims. According to the SAPS website, Mkhwanazi said the suspects in question will be returned to South Africa “to face a case of murder and attempted where a man, who was a passenger in a vehicle, was shot and killed in Berea (in Durban) on 6 March 2023”.
