MARITZBURG UNITED TO SELL PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE STATUS?
With two games left against Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns as well as the rock-bottom position, the relegation axe is hanging above the KwaZulu Natal club’s head.

According to new reports, the club are reportedly set to take the option of selling if they fail to avoid the chop.
“There’s a sense of panic around the club at the moment,” a source close to the club told FARPost.
“So the players have already been told that should the team be relegated, the club might go on sale.

“The club is likely to be sold purely because of the difficulty that comes with running the team in the National First Division. The financial constraints that come with it,” the source concluded.
