And the South Africa-born 51-year-old billionaire has continued to widen the gap over Obama – and the rest of the world on the popular social media platform.

The founder of Tesla and SpaceX at the time of publishing on Tuesday, 13 June had 143 384 370 Twitter followers, over 11 million ahead of Obama, who had 132 349 805 to his name.
Pop superstar Justin Bieber is in third place with 112 407 937 followers.
