The South African weighed up some of these restaurant franchises by their chicken prices.

Here’s how some of SA’s top restaurants compared on their top deals:
NANDOS FULL CHICKEN: R189
Nandos was founded in 1987, and it’s become one of the most enjoyed South African restaurants since the start. Known for its basting recipes, we had a look at their menu to find out just how much you can pay for the FULL CHICKEN with no drinks or sides.

PEDROS FULL CHICKEN: R114.90
Pedros has more than 100 active stores across South Africa, and clearly they’re competing for the top spot amongst fast food offerings. Also available with the customer’s choice of basting sauces, the Pedros Full costs R114.90 – also with no drinks or meals.

Steers is known for their “flame-grilled” foods, which includes the burgers we’ve come to love during those late-night binges. If you’re looking for only the inkukhu, then expect to pay R159.90 at this beloved restaurant.

WOOLWORTHS: R99
Sometimes we all like to change up our tastes. If you’re heading to a store, you can also find a rotisserie chicken at Woolworths. While the brand has been grilled for their prices before, expect to pay R99 at the current price for a medium rotisserie chicken.
