You still need to submit the Annexure C (bank form) to a SASSA branch in person for it to be accepted. Sadly, there is no way to submit the form digitally, according to Careers Portal.

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO

  • Print and complete the SASSA Annexure C (bank form).
  • Take it to your bank to be certified and stamped.
  • Submit it to a SASSA office/branch to be captured.
  • Biometric data (fingerprints) will also be taken to confirm a change of payment method.
  • Once processed, social grant money will be deposited directly into your bank account.

If you’re one of South Africa’s neediest citizens that do not have bank accounts, you can still receive your grant through CashSend services. Simply supply your ID and phone number to access your grant. The cell number must be registered to your name so SASSA can verify you are the correct beneficiary. Then pick up your money at a designated location or with a money transfer service.

PARTICIPATING RETAILERS

There are more than 1900 stores from the Shoprite Group alone that can assist with SASSA grant payouts. Picture: Shoprite.

Another of the popular SASSA grant payment options involves a visit to a Checkers, USave, Ok, Shoprite, Boxer or Pick n Pay store. Beneficiaries will be sent an SMS when their grant is ready for collection. Do not go without the SMS as the retailer may not have enough money on hand.

Note that BP Pick n Pay Express, Pick n Pay Clothing and Pick n Pay Liquor stores. You will provide your ID, cell phone number and confirmation pin at the till to prevent any fraud.
