WHAT ABOUT ADDITIONAL COST TO LICENCE A CAR?
There are a host of third-party service providers that can assist you to licence a car in 2024. Everything from WhatsApp service like DISKY, to service at major supermarkets and banks. It’s really up to you to choose which is the easiest and most convenient.

In general, the eNATIS website (Gauteng and Eastern Cape) and Western Cape eServices website charge the following fees:
- Online application, delivery ordinary mail: R28.
- Online application, delivery registered mail: R72.
- Online application, delivery courier service: R99.

21-DAY GRACE
Don’t forget that if your car licence is expired, you have a 21-day grace period to renew. Miss it and you will have to pay a late licencing fee of one tenth of the annual licencing fee per month. The longer you leave it, the more expensive it will become.
