Dean Mashimbwe, a Zimbabwean migrant residing in Cape Town, was incarcerated at Pollsmoor Correctional Centre from 2016 until 2017. During his time in prison, he actively engaged in restorative justice programmes and now he is part of Restore's research and reintegration project in South Africa. In addition to his involvement in the project, he is also a social media personality - known as Dean Mashimbwe on Facebook and he uses his platform to advocate for meaningful transformation.
