CARACAL AND CUBS SEEN ON CHAPMAN’S PEAK
The Urban Caracal Project uploaded a video to their Instagram page yesterday, 20 November, showing the adorable Caracal family walking along the side of the road on Chapman’s Peak.

The family, consisting of a mother and her two cubs were previously spotted along the same route back in July and were then suspected of having a den in the area as there have been multiple reports of similar sightings along the route.
Instagram-users were happy to the see that the little family were still safe and that the cubs were grown up.
yatespippa said: “Wow! I am so happy to see they are still safe after the crazy storms and mudslides. 🥹❤️ I was thinking about them often! I always wonder how the don’t fall, they are so agile it’s incredible.”

The video, posted by The Urban Caracal Project, which protects, researches and monitors the elusive cats in the area, have urged motorists to drive safely along the Chapman’s Peak route.
