The glioblastoma is an aggressive form of brain cancer and it’s very difficult to treat. The survival rate for patients beyond two years, is only 30 percent. But now, a landmark study could reveal the answers cancer researchers have been looking for. Scientists from the University of North Carolina have been able to convert skin cells into cancer-hunting stem cells which hone in and destroy tumours. Carte Blanche witnesses the life-saving possibilities of this medical breakthrough.
