Meet three of the dogs playing a crucial role in saving rhino and elephant in Africa. Their dog trainer from the UK (a former military dog handler), says: “It’s animals saving animals. Humans have been trying to do it, and we’ve failed. So let’s put the animals on… and let’s have animals helping animals.”
The three puppies (all from Norfolk in England) are named Bo, Rogue and Polaris. After extensive training in the UK they’ve been sent to Africa to help protect our endangered wildlife.
The video showcases the dogs getting used to helicopters (a bit scary at first!), learning to attack poachers and meeting their new ‘neighbours’. The canines – wearing protective armour – now work in national parks in Africa.
