Visitors to South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park have been delighted to discover a friendly entrepreneur serving hot beverages whilst they wait in the long queue at Phabeni gate, early in the morning, to enter the park.
Rudo Van Heerden, from Gauteng, and his family snapped these shots of the coffee vendor, whose name is Patrick.
Rudo then uploaded them to Facebook, saying: “Ontmoet vir Patrick. Hy is die Barista van die Kruger. Hierdie inspireerende man het sy eie besigheid begin om aan voertuie wat wag om in die Kruger Park in te gaan Cappuccino te verkoop. Hoe amaizing is entrepreneurskap nie!” (Meet Patrick. He is the Barista from the Kruger. This inspirational man began his own business selling Cappuccinos to cars waiting to go into the Kruger Park. How amazing is the entrepreneurship!)
Rudo told SAPeople that when he saw Patrick with his trolley, he needed to order a coffee from him “as it was so inspiring.
“Apparently he is well known by the park rangers at the gate, and he also helps with cleaning the area outside the gate!
“A true entrepreneur selling a cuppachino, normal instant coffee, tea or hot chocolate at 6:30 am in the morning!”
