Planned maintenance on Wednesday, 7 May, will leave some areas of Johannesburg facing reduced or no water supply for up to 10 hours, with work set to take place between 6:00 and 16:00.
Johannesburg Water plans maintenance
Johannesburg Water announced that its teams will relocate a 300mm diameter pipeline, which will leave all streets in the Orange Farm extensions without water during the scheduled work. The utility has not confirmed whether water tankers will be made available.
Similarly, on Thursday, 8 May, Johannesburg Water will carry out maintenance in Amorosa Extension 55, affecting all streets in the area. Customers can expect at least an eight-hour water outage as crews connect a new pipe to the existing infrastructure. The availability and placement of water tankers during this time remain uncertain.
