Penguin hits the waves
It seems that penguins now know how to bodyboard, after a video was captured of an African penguin doing exactly that off the coast of Cape Town recently!
In what is now a viral video, the ‘cool dude’ was seen balancing on a bodyboard, which was being held in place by a surfer.
As reported by Cape Town Etc, the video, which was posted by Accuweather on Facebook on Friday, 21 June, has amassed over 2.3 million views, over 1 500 comments and 37 000 reactions.
”Surf’s up, bruh!’ An inquisitive African penguin shredded some waves on a bodyboard off the coast of Cape Town, South Africa,’ the caption of the video read.

While the video may be adorable and seeing the creature on a bodyboard may be hilarious, comments on the video highlight another reason why the penguin was up on the board.
