The real reason Kelly Rowland stormed off the ‘Today Show’
The supposed real reason behind Kelly Rowland storming off the ‘Today Show’ was because of the ‘aggressive questioning’.
Just last week it was reported that singer and actress Kelly Rowland walked off NBC’s Today Show on Thursday, 15 February, after her dressing room was allegedly not up to par. However, it has now been noted that Kelly stormed of the show because she was aggressively questioned about her former girl group member Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.
THE REAL REASON WHY KELLY ROWLAND STORMED OFF THE TODAY SHOW
A source told media outlet The Wrap that Kelly was offended when Savannah Guthrie “repeatedly and aggressively” questioned her about Beyoncé.
“Kelly was offended that Savannah repeatedly and aggressively asked her about Beyoncé”, The source told the media outlet.
“The story was spun that Kelly didn’t like her dressing room, but she has been on the ‘Today’ show numerous times, she and her team know the dressing room set up. That would not come as a surprise at all”.
The insider continued: “Kelly was upset about Savannah’s aggressive questioning about Beyoncé. She and her team were not happy and felt disrespected”.
‘I’M SO PROUD OF HER’
During the interview on Thursday Savannah asked, “What do you think about your friend Beyoncé?” prior to Rowland’s exit.
To which Kelly replied, “I’m so proud of her.”
However the Today Show host persisted by asking; “I know, but were you surprised and what do you think about it?”, referring to the release of Beyoncé’s new country project, Act II.
“I’m so proud of her”, Kelly repeated. “So happy for her”.
It has also been noted that Kelly Rowland has an agreement ahead of interviews that she won’t be asked about Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child, according to the source she wants to leave that behind”.
The singer’s rep Yvette Noel-Schure issued a statement to “Entertainment Tonight” on Tuesday, noting “After 28 years of knowing her, Kelly Rowland remains one of the kindest, most amiable humans I have ever met and have had the blessing to represent”.
