Liverpool remain at the top of the English Premier League log after they thrashed Brentford 4-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium
Liverpool thrashed Brentford 4-1 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday to remain top of the English Premier League table.
A sublime effort from Darwin Nunez in the first half was followed by goals from Alexis Mac Allister and substitutes Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo after the interval in London.

Ivan Toney scored for the visitors when the score was 3-1 but it proved to be a consolation strike as Liverpool put the nail in the coffin with 10 minutes to go.
The Reds made two changes to their team for their match against Brentford.
SALAH RETURNS FOR LIVERPOOL
Salah returned to the matchday squad, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jarell Quansah were replaced by Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate.
Salah was named on the substitutes’ bench, and Joe Gomez returned to the squad after recovering from illness. However, Liverpool’s first choice keeper Alisson Becker was absent due to injury.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk made his 250th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions as the team’s captain.
The Reds will play Luton Town midweek before Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday.
