A royal source claims that Prince William will step up amid his father, King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

PRINCE WILLIAM WILL ‘STEP UP’ AMID KING CHARLES’ CANCER DIAGNOSIS
Despite his wife, Kate Middleton’s recovery, Prince William will reportedly be there for the crown amid his father, King Charles’ cancer treatment. Princess Kate has been at home as she recovers from her abdominal surgery.
Buckingham Palace announced that cancer was picked up on King Charles via a statement on Monday, 5 February. A royal source told People that Prince William is in regular contact with his father amid the news of the cancer diagnosis. This comes as King Charles steps back from public engagements and Princess Kate continues her recuperation, returning to royal duties after Easter.
“It is hard with Kate being ill as well, but he will step up,” said a source close to the royal household.
While Prince William may undertake some duties on behalf of Charles, there are no plans to appoint counsellors of state to act on the King’s behalf.
“He wouldn’t want to put that pressure on William. He has always wanted to save his children from having that pressure too early and that will remain. Particularly as William has other priorities [with Kate],” the source continued.

This comes after Prince William broke his silence on King Charles’s cancer diagnosis. The Prince of Wales expressed gratitude for the sympathy the royal family received following the cancer diagnosis at London’s Air Ambulance Charity.
