KAIZER CHIEFS STRATEGY: URGENT RECRUITMENT DRIVE

During the January transfer window, Amakhosi opted not to introduce any new players. Confident in interim coach Cavin Johnson’s ability to navigate the remainder of the season with the existing squad. 

Since assuming the reins from former coach Molefi Ntseki, Johnson has provided stability at Naturena. Giving management ample time to work on the Kaizer Chiefs strategy for the upcoming season.

Cape Town City’s Khanyisa Mayo has emerged as a coveted long-term target for Chiefs. Although City’s chairman John Comitis has attached a hefty R37 million price tag to the striker. Which potentially derail Chiefs’ pursuit of the City talent. Sundowns are also reportedly eyeing the 25-year-old, currently one of the leading scorers in the PSL. 

Additionally, Stellenbosch’s Iqraam Rayners is another forward in demand since his homecoming. Motsepe Foundation Championship standout Keletso Makgalwa, are in Kaizer Chiefs strategy and radar as a potential reinforcement too.
