Mamelodi Sundowns FC have landed yet another blockbuster foreign signing! This one is worth a reported R47 million.

Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the signing of Argentinian midfielder Matias Esquivel, his club Atlético Lanús have confirmed!

The 24-year-old midfield maestro has been linked with a big-money move to the Brazilians for sometime now, and now his club have confirmed the move!

Matias Esquivel reportedly arrived in Johannesburg over the weekend and is set to be unveiled by the club this week.

Mamelodi Sundowns have already welcomed defender Zuko Mdunyelwa from Chippa United as their first signing of the January transfer window.

An official Club Atlético Lanús statement confirmed the transfer of Argentinian midfielder Matias Esquivel to Mamelodi Sundowns!

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Ngezana has returned back to Romania following a brief holiday in South Africa.

The FCSB defender has been linked with a blockbuster move to French Ligue 1 side Lorient in recent weeks.

This comes after a string of promising performances for Romanian giants FCSB following his move to the club at the beginning of the season.

According to reports, FCSB rejected a R105 million offer for Ngezana from Lorient.

While the negotiations drag on, the Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate has already returned back to Romania and is preparing for tomorrow’s match against UTA Arad.

According to SoccerLaduma, Siyabonga Ngezana has safely returned back to Romania and is preparing for Monday’s Romanian Liga 1 clash against UTA Arad.
