EFF proud of Class of 2023 for achieving excellence despite LOAD SHEDDING
The EFF saluted the Class of 2023 for accomplishing excellence despite unfavourable teaching and learning conditions in their schools.
The Economics Freedom Fighters (EFF) has saluted the Class of 2023 for going against the odds and excelling, despite load shedding and other socio-economic issues facing the country.
EFF PRAISES THE CLASS OF 2023
“The EFF extends our heartfelt congratulations to all those who have successfully passed this crucial milestone, showcasing dedication and resilience in their academic pursuits,” said Sinawo Thambo, the party’s national spokesperson.
“Despite facing the challenges of 332 out of 365 days of load shedding, along with dilapidated and overcrowded classrooms, and inadequate access to decent drinking water and sanitation in schools, you managed to accomplish this,” Thambo further saluted the Class of 2023.
HIGHER PASS RATE ACHIEVED DESPITE LOAD SHEDDING
The National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination results were released by the Department of Basic Education today, Thursday, 18 January. The Class of 2023 impressed the country by achieving an 82.9% pass rate, an increase of 2.8% compared to 2022.

“To those who may not have achieved the desired outcomes, we offer words of consolation and encouragement. Your journey is unique, and this setback does not define your future,” said Thambo.
“As you navigate this juncture, consider the multitude of options available for post-matric studies. Whether pursuing tertiary education, vocational training or other forms of skills development, each path contributes significantly to personal growth and nation-building,” the EFF spokesperson further said.
NSC EXAMINATION POOR PERFORMERS
The Northern Cape took the last position out of the nine provinces after attaining 75.84%, edged by Mpumalanga achieving 76.95% and the Eastern Cape at 81.42%.
Although the Class of 2023 achieved an 82.9% pass rate, an increase of 2.8% compared to 2022 – the performance could’ve been better….
