Cassper Nyovest celebrates his baptism [photos]
‘Privileged to have had an encounter with the Lord’: Recently baptised rapper, Cassper Nyovest celebrated his ‘new life’ with his family.
South African rapper Refiloe Maele Phoolo, professionally known as Cassper Nyovest took to Instagram on Sunday, 14 January, and shared a picture of his large family, saying he decided to bring the family together to celebrate his “new life’ as he walks with Christ.

Cassper Nyovest is on his spiritual journey and proud to show it off on his social platforms. According to IOL, he recently posted a video of himself getting baptised via his Instagram Stories. The born-again Christian was reportedly baptised in an echibini (a cross-designed holy water pool) at St John’s.
He also recently celebrated the new chapter of his life with his loved ones at his mansion. On his feed, he shared that only 30 per cent of his family made it to his celebration and said: “I asked my mother and aunt to assist me by calling all my family together in the spirit of thanksgiving to celebrate my new life and our ancestors who walked the journey with Christ. A journey we are still walking in.”

“Remembering and celebrating the prayers and covenants our ancestors made with Jesus our Lord and Saviour. What a privilege it is to be a walking and breathing prayer. I came here with prayer, I will live by prayer and eventually, I will leave by prayer. Glory to God!!! Thank you, Jesus,” he added.

Cassper Nyovest said he was saved by Jesus. Last year, he revealed that he celebrated Christmas in a special way.
“Today’s Christmas is the most special for me. It’s the first time I’m spending it with Jesus in my heart. Not just in my mind because I grew up in a Christian home or because my parents told me about him but in my heart. I am so privileged to have had an encounter with the Lord,” he said.
