In a historic triumph, Keke Palmer has bulldozed through the traditionally male-dominated game show host landscape, clinching the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Game Show.

The victory comes courtesy of her standout performance on NBC’s Password, marking the first time this category has been included in the Primetime Emmys after transitioning from the Daytime awards as reported by Deadline.

Palmer’s win, announced at the Peacock Theater in downtown L.A., is nothing short of groundbreaking.

She outshone esteemed hosts like Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik from Jeopardy!, Steve Harvey of Family Feud, and Pat Sajak from Wheel of Fortune, proving that charisma, wit, and a dash of flair can topple even the most seasoned competitors.

This win not only positions Keke Palmer as the first woman to seize this honour since Meredith Vieira in 2009 but also establishes her as the first Black woman to be nominated or win in this category.

This accolade adds another Emmy to Palmer’s collection, following her 2021 win for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for the Facebook Watch series Turnt Up With The Taylors.
