However, Hunt admits that they still have to fight harder and ensure they win their next matches – SuperSport host Libya’s Al Halilal Benghazi at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.

HUNT WARY POF RELEGATING SUPERSPORT DUE TO CAF CONFED
Speaking about their ambitions after their 2-1 DStv Premiership win over Moroka Swallows last week, Hunt says SuperSport must box clever.
“We have to try and be clever. Domestically, we need our focus, but we also need to be better at this African competition,” says Hunt per SABC.
“We can’t get ourselves into trouble like the club was a few years ago by almost getting relegated by getting into the final.

“We cannot afford that. I won’t let that happen. No.”

HUNT ON HIS PLAYERS AND CONTINENTAL LESSONS
The former defender and SuperSport boss adds that there are invaluable lessons gained from their continental campaign – but wants his troops to turn the corner.
“When you play in CAF, as I’ve been doing for over 30 years, learn how to play the game,” adds the SuperSport coach, Hunt.

“So, gaining intelligence is a big thing in Africa, and I think we’ve learned.
“For some of these young kids, even some of the older ones, who haven’t had the experience of playing [in CAF competitions], gaining intelligence is very important.
“You learn how to manage your game, how to handle a game.
“I haven’t made them play with too many restrictions. We’ve gone out and just played pretty much openly to try and win the games.
“And I think we could’ve won, we had chances.”
