1. PACK SMART

You’ve heard it before and you’ll probably hear it again, but roll your clothes to save space and minimize wrinkles. You can also use packing cubes to keep things organized.

2. DOWNLOAD ENTERTAINMENT

Download movies, music, and books before your flight and carry noise-cancelling headphones for a more enjoyable experience on the plane.

3. CHARGE DEVICES

Be sure to charge all your devices before your flight and carry a portable charger for the plane and layover charging.

4. DRESS COMFORTABLY

There’s nothing worse than being stuck on a plane wearing something horribly uncomfortable, especially shoes! Opt for comfortable shoes, especially if you have to walk long distances in airports and wear layers for temperature changes.

5. STAY HYDRATED

Drink plenty of water before and on board the plane and avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol, as these beverages can dehydrate you.

6. BRING SNACKS

Pack a few healthy snacks to avoid relying on airplane food, especially if it’s not exactly the greatest.

7. BE MINDFUL OF TIME ZONES

Another great hack is to adjust your watch and devices to the destination time zone and try to adapt to the local time upon arrival to minimize jet lag.

8. GET UP AND MOVE

Be sure to stretch and walk around the cabin to prevent stiffness. You can also perform in-seat exercises on the plane to improve circulation.

9. PHOTOCOPY IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

Keep photocopies of your passport, ID, and travel insurance in a separate bag and save electronic copies on your phone or cloud storage in case your bag gets lost and you need copies.
