Orlando Pirates: Remaining matches winnable; Lorch to return
Following their 2-0 derby win over Swallows, Orlando Pirates now turn focus on their last fixtures of the year.
Orlando Pirates are looking to end the year on a high following a poor start to the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
Overall, the Buccaneers have had a successful year winning the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup.

Pirates coach Jose Riveiro knows how important it is for his team to end the year on a high as they look to close the gap to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Sea Robbers will play TS Galaxy, Golden Arrows, SuperSport United and Stellenbosch this month. All the four games are winnable if Pirates play at their best but Riveiro’s side have been inconsistent this season.

“It’s going to be tough. But we want to go game by game because December is going to be key for us. We want to finish the year in a proper position. A position more in accordance with our squad and capacity to win games. It goes without saying,” said the Pirates coach.
Riveiro will welcome the return of winger Thembinkosi Lorch who is currently serving his suspension.
The Pirates star is expected to return for the Golden Arrows match next week.
