FULL MOON WATCH: WHEN IS THE FIRST 2024 FULL MOON?
According to the website Time and Date, the first official full moon of 2024 is happening in January – and the expected date viewers can look forward to is the 6th of the month.

Viewers can catch the lunar event from about 20:30 the evening, though the moon will be brighter as the evening continues.

If January’s wait seems a little too far into the future, the good news is that we’re seeing one more full moon in December for the year.
THE FULL WOLF MOON
According to HowStuffWorks, January’s full moon event is also one with a special name.

Each moon of the year is given a special name based on when during the year it happens. For January 2024’s first moon, it is called the Wolf Moon – because of the time when wolves are at their most active.
It’s not just called the moon: it’s called the Wolf Moon!

According to the website Moon Giant, December still has one more moon event in store for the year.

Full moon viewers can see December’s lunar event on the 28th of the month, and then it’s a long wait until we can get to see next year’s January Wolf Moon!
