David Beckham’s ‘ultimate dig’ to Prince Harry and Meghan?

British former footballer David Beckham has allegedly accepted an invite to a dinner with the monarch, King Charles. This, during a rumoured rift between the Beckhams and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

British former footballer David Beckham and his wife Victoria reportedly cut ties with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Amid reports of a rift between the Beckhams and Sussexes, the former footballer has reportedly accepted an invite to a dinner with Prince Harry’s father King Charles.

The Mirror reports that the dinner is to talk about the possibility of him becoming an ambassador for The Prince’s Foundation, a charity founded by the King in order to help provide skills to young people.

The publication reports that if Beckham takes on the position, it will echo the role he previously held for Prince Harry’s Invictus Games.

WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THE BECKHAMS AND SUSSEXES?

Sky News reports that several sources claimed that David and Victoria Beckham have cut ties with Prince Harry and Meghan after the Sussexes accused the pair of leaking to the press. The friendship between the four is reportedly over after Meghan became concerned about “indiscretion” from Victoria.

Meghan is said to have convinced Harry that Victoria had been speaking to the press and so he called David to hash it out. However, David was reportedly “furious” with the accusations.

“They’ve been cut off in the same way that Meghan cut off her father and her former best friend Jessica Mulroney,” said Sarah Hewson, TalkTV’s Royal Editor according to the publication.

Hewson says that the rift with the Beckhams was caused by “paranoia” from the Sussexes.

“This couple do read all the headlines, they read all the stories, they even read the comments under the stories. Harry himself has admitted that,” Hewson continued.
