Springboks have touched down in SA
The Springboks have landed at OR Tambo international airport following their heroic victory at the Rugby World Cup in France.
The Springboks have landed in South Africa and are set to greet a crowd of excited fans when they walk through the arrival doors.

The now four-time Rugby World Cup champions left France on Monday 30 October 2023 and landed at OR Tambo International Airport on the morning of 31 October. Fans have been eagerly awaiting their arrival and the news of their landing has spread across social media.

SPRINGBOKS FANS FILL UP OR TAMBO
Following the Springboks’ heroic victory against New Zealand in the World Cup Final on the 28th of October 2023, local fans have been waiting patiently to give them a champion’s welcome.

Fans have filled up the arrivals terminal of Johannesburg’s international airport with many of them arriving as early as 5:00 in the morning to greet the Boks.
Their flight was scheduled to arrive at 10:55 but a flight tracker confirmed that their aircraft had actually touched down a few minutes early.

‘BRING THE FANS BACK FROM NEW ZEALAND’
Airport-goers will now be excitedly waiting to welcome the Boks players in the flesh when they walk through the arrival doors at Terminal A. Upon learning that the players had landed safely, many began to wonder if it might be possible to bring back some of the expat South Africans living in other countries in time for the promised long weekend in December.

One user wrote, “We need to send planes to bring back all those SAs that migrated to New Zealand and Australia before 15 December holiday for a reunion”.
President Cyril Ramaphosa confirmed in a national address that in light of South Africa’s sporting efforts, the country would be receiving an extra public holiday on the 15th of December.
With the Springboks landing and an extra holiday looming, the mood around the country has rarely been more excited.
