SASSA: SRD R350 payments begin TOMORROW

In order to be approved for SRD R350, beneficiaries should have no more that R624 deposited in their account for that month.

The South African Social Security Agency(SASSA) has announced the dates in which it intends to payout monies for beneficiaries of the Covid social relief of distress grant.

OCTOBER PAYMENT DATES

If you have passed SASSA’s stringent means test and have been approved for this month, this is when you can expect to be paid.

SRD R350 beneficiaries can expect to be paid as from Wednesday 25 October till 31 October 2023.

The agency would however like to remind beneficiaries that the money may not appear on the same day in which it has been paid from SASSA.

“Funds will take about 2-3 working days to reflect in the client’s account after payment has been made”, says SASSA.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED

Beneficiaries of the SRD R350 can easily check their status each month on their mobile phones.

  1. Scroll down to the ‘South African ID Holders’ and click the ‘click here to proceed’ tab
  2. Then, scroll down to ‘Application status’ for your SRD grant 
  3. Click on ‘Click here to check online’
  4. Fill in your ID number and the phone number that you used for your application, then+ click ‘submit’
  5. You should then be able to see the SRD status of your R350 grant application

Alternatively beneficiaries may call the toll-free number 0800601011.
