The Zimbabwean sports veteran’s size and strength earned him the moniker ‘Beast’. He is one of the Springboks who helped fly the South African flag high in 2019 when they won the Rugby World Cup that year.
Since retiring from the Springboks, Mtawarira ventured out into the business world and describes himself as a serial entrepreneur. He launched The Beast Wines and has also made a name for himself as a philanthropist. In 2020, he established The Beast Foundation which aims to assist the youth with scholarships, mentorship, and more.

Meanwhile, the former Springbok legend Francois Pienaar is best known as the man who captained the Springboks to victory at the Rugby World Cup games in 1995. Since retiring from the rugby field, he “was part of a consortium that took over Saracens in 2022″ and currently works as a director at the Premiership outfit and is one of the founders of the Varsity Cup rugby tournament in South Africa, Planet Rugby reported.
The former Springbok players have evidently embarked on different paths since their retirement, however crossed paths once more. After seeing them in a photograph together, rugby fans on social media were glad to see that the “legends” had rubbed shoulders recently.
