“I tell the things how they are” – Broos on Kaizer Chiefs players
“Everyone is angry because I said that but it is like that, Chiefs don’t play good at the moment. So what did I say wrong?” says Hugo Broos.
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos pulled no punches when he was asked why he continued to overlook Kaizer Chiefs players.
The Belgian coach was under scrutiny after he left out Chiefs players for Bafana’s friendly games in September. Eventually, Amakhosi midfielder Pule Modi was called to national team as Temba Zwane’s replacement.

This week, Broos only selected Sibongiseni Mthethwa in his 23-man squad to face Eswatini and Ivory Coast.
BROOS NOT IMPRESSED WITH KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYERS
Previosuly, the Bafana coach said the reason he left out Chiefs players from his squad was that they were not good enough. This week, Broos admitted that he was too straighforward for some people.

“I think I’m too straight, I tell the things how they are. I don’t like to say it’s grey when it’s white or black, for me it’s black or white. What I feel is the truth but they don’t accept it,” he told SABC on Thursday.
“For example when I spoke about the players of Chiefs, everyone is angry because I said that but it is like that, Chiefs don’t play good at the moment. So what did I say wrong?” Broos added.
“Chiefs dont play good for the moment, so what did i say wrong?”
