Lukhanyo Am training with the Boks

The Boks currently top Pool B with 15 points after four matches but will have to wait for the match between Ireland and Scotland to find out if they will play in the quarter-finals.

LUKHANYO AM RETURNS TO THE SQUAD
Am was called this week as an injury replacement for Makazole Mapimpi. The 29-year-old centre missed out on the World Cup squad selection because of the injury he sustained in August. He now has a chance to play in his second World Cup.
Springbok assistant coach Felix Jones was optimistic that the side were in a strong position to make it through to the top eight.

“Lukhanyo(Am) arrived today (Wednesday) and did some light field work with us, so we’ll see how he goes in the next few days,” he said..
“He’s an experienced player and he’s been part of the group for many years, so we’ll bank on his experience and his ability to do the job for us.”
