The good news is that the lanky Bok enforcer is set to be fit to take on Ireland. He is set to miss between seven and 10 days of training according to Rassie Erasmus but will be fit for the match against the worlds number one ranked side.

IRELAND RETURN IMMINENT
Thankfully, he is not set to be ruled out of the Rugby World Cup.
Furthermore, he will return to training next week (between Monday and Wednesday). Therefore, he will be available for the blockbuster showdown against the Irish on 23 September 2023.
Usually, if a player is not fit for selection by the start of the week, they will not be considered.
This was the case with Canan Moodie and Jean Kleyn. However, Etzebeth is senior player and a key part of the current Bok setup.
