Teen found with unlicensed firearms
A young girl is scheduled to appear in a children’s court, after reportedly being discovered with two unlicensed firearms.
After reportedly being discovered with two unlicensed firearms outside a Limpopo police station earlier this week, a young girl is scheduled to appear in a children’s court.
According to police spokesperson Col. Malesela Ledwaba, the 15 year old was detained on Monday in front of Thohoyandou police station.

WHO IS THE OWNER OF THE FIREARMS?
“According to the information that is currently available, authorities were notified at around 11am that a teen was in possession of firearms.
“Police found the suspect at the scene right away and approached her. Police searched the suspect and discovered two unlicensed guns in her possession. She was questioned about where they came from, but her response was inadequate.

The girl was detained and accused of having the weapons.
According to a preliminary investigation, the teen’s boyfriend owned the guns. He was detained on suspicion of possessing an unregistered firearm, attempted murder, and house robberies that allegedly took place in Thohoyandou earlier this month.

The suspect should shortly appear before the Thohoyandou magistrate’s court’s specialized children’s court, according to police.
The motive behind the teenager carrying unlicensed firearms is still unknown.
SIMILAR CASE
Following the discovery firearms and magazines at a residential building in Brandwag, Bloemfontein. A member of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) was detained.

The 31 year old suspect was apprehended by the tactical reaction squad, according to Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli, a spokesperson for the Free State police.
For having an unlicensed firearm and ammo, the suspect is scheduled to show up in court soon in Bloemfontein.
