EFF’s MP Vusi Khoza agrees to resign after party’s birthday bus saga
EFF’s MP Vusi Khoza agrees to resign after the party’s decision to recall over 210 representatives who failed to hire buses to transport supporters during the party’s 10th anniversary.
As pressure mounted on the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) representatives across the country, MP Vusi Khoza revealed that he is ready to resign from his lucrative Parliamentary job of R1 million per year after EFF top leaders decided that they would recall over 210 representatives who failed to hire buses to transport supporters to the party’s 10th birthday celebration in July.
JULIUS MALEMA’S VIEWS
Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), stated that the party had voted to recall over 210 public representatives who failed to provide buses for their supporters to the birthday celebration in July at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.
According to the source, there were over 400 public representatives on the list. It’s reported that the representatives were given five months to improvise buses to transport the supporters to the event.
Julius Malema had also notably asked the representative to resign.

MP VUSI KHOZA’S VIEWS ABOUT THE PARTY’S DECISION
According to IOL, Khoza revealed early this month that he was willing to resign if the party asked him to do so.
Khoza confirmed to the source in an interview that he was among the 210 public representatives. He revealed that the members who were set to be recalled included the MPs, MPLs, and councillors.
Khoza stated to IOL that the EFF leadership had summoned him to make his case about the bus scandal.
“It is simple; I made my representation to the leadership and explained that I live in a rural area of uMgababa; there are no rich people here who can assist me with buses, and I told them that there were those who promised that they could assist me, but they dropped me in the last minute,” he added.

“It is true; I am on that list, and I am currently waiting for the formal correspondence from the Office of the Secretary General (Marshall Dlamini),” said the source.
Khoza told the publication that he wouldn’t continue objecting to the party’s decision.
Further, he also said that representing the party is like playing soccer.
“It is like a soccer team; you don’t get substituted only because you have failed; sometimes you might be rested for the next match.
