Dr Mpho Phalatse has announced her resignation as a PR Councillor for Democratic Alliance (DA) in the City of Johannesburg.

In her resignation letter to DA Caucus leader Belinda Echeozonjoku, Phalatse described her various roles in public service as fulfilling and an honour.

“When I came into mainstream politics in 2016, I ewas motivated by the desire to serve. That decision came at a huge personal sacrifice and sacrifice of my family. I left my medical profession and thriving business in order to contribite to the rebuilding of my country,” she said.
