Lesiba Nku netted a brace while Peter Shalulile and Grant Kekana scored one each as Sundowns maintained their 100 percent win record.

Two of the four goals – Shalulile and Kekana strikes – were scored from deadball situations, and Mokwena believes it’s all Michael Loftman’s hard work.

Loftman, formerly with Pirates as their performance analyst, joined Sundowns as the ‘Set Play’ coach last season.

He was then given the role of assistant coach alongside Manqoba Mngqithi when Steve Komphela left Sundowns for Moroka Swallows.

And according to Mokwena, Loftman’s hard work and that of Wendell Robinson is starting to yield positive results after scoring those two goals from deadball situations.

“Congratulations to Masandawana, the entire family, congratulations to the team. I think there are some games we played better, smoother but I think today, we took our chances,” Mokwena told SuperSport TV.

“And [it is] good to see that we also scored two set-pieces, and congratulations in particular to Michael Loftman, to coach Wendell, especially these two, they work very hard.

“And congratulations to the team, the supporters it’s nice to see them happy. A good performance, I thought.”
