A THEATRE KID AT HEART
Annelisa started her career in 1969 at 20 years old when she was cast in the role of the daughter in Stinberg’s The Father.
Apart from television and film Annelisa is a theatre kid at heart. She studied Drama at The University of Cape Town and exercised her theatrical bone by featuring in every kind of theatre production imaginable, from Shakespeare to risqué theatrical extravaganzas. You name it, she’s done it.
The versatile actress has starred in the following theatre productions; Hamlet, The Crucible, On the Lake, Ma!, just to name a few. She is also no stranger to film as she appeared in Meerkat Maantuig in 2017 and Susters in 2018.
In addition to this the seasoned actress has also featured in various television shows like 7delaan; Suidooster; Lui Maar Op, Belinda to name a few.

ANNELISA WEILAND AFTER 7DE LAAN
As 7de Laan’s “Hilda”, Annelisa quickly became a fan favourite. Fans loved Hilda’s quirky spirit, elaborate cake ideas, her strange and adventurous food combinations, her obsession with scarves and oh, let’s not forget her famous take on Japanese Ikebana.
In 2019, it was announced that Annelisa would be making her final appearance on the hit soap series, leaving many fans across South Africa devastated.
In 2014, Weiland won a Tempo Award for Soap Actress of the Year for 7de Laan.
Despite leaving the hit Afrikaans series 7de Laan after 19 years on screen, Annelisa joined the cast of Suidooster from 2019-2020. She is currently acting on KykNet comedy Lui Maar Op, Belinda.
The third season of the comedy series kicked off in April of this year and follows the trials and tribulations of a group of displaced characters who are involved with a hardware store in George.
