Lethukukhanya Mjaji aka little Miss Albany bread is a South African super star and symbol of hope for many. This after simple photographs of her enjoying some mud between her toes while making a trip home with a loaf of bread went viral online. The youngster has been showered with compliments, kind words and even gifts from many South African companies.

These companies have now been accused of trying to use her to rise their profits by social media users who are arguing that she should receive less foods and more opportunities.

ARE COMPANIES USING MISS ALBANY FOR PERSONAL GAIN?

Three-year-old Lethukukhanya who is now proudly known as “Miss Albany” first stole millions of hearts after her uncle Lungisani Mjaji — a photographer — took beautiful photos of her holding a loaf of Albany bread.

The photos went viral bagging her a deal as the face of the bread company. She has also received a number of goods from various other local brands.

While South Africans continue to celebrate how simple photographs have changed her life, others are concerned big brands are trying to use her.

SA SHARES THEIR THOUGHTS

In the comment section, many had their own views on the situation.

“We can’t force all brands to work with her..Some are now being generous because the little pumpkin is adorable…But expecting all brands that she takes pictures of to give her scholarships or money is a bit far fetched now…I stand corrected,” one person said while another added:

“They are gifting her & her friends… They dont owe her anything.. It would be nice if someone could gift her with something more sustainable for her future though”
