The EFF in Johannesburg cautioned civilians against making unfounded assumptions about the root cause of the JHB CBD disaster.

EFF WARNS AGAINST ‘BASELESS’ THEORIES

“The EFF is cautioning people, political parties and other organisations to refrain from making unfounded and malicious allegations regarding the explosion’s root cause,” said Tiyiselani Chauke the party’s media and communication officer.

This after the party revealed that Egoli Gas has refuted claims that the explosion which caused mayhem in Johannesburg Bree Street was because of a gas pipeline or leak.

“ At the current juncture, it remains unclear what could be the course of such a calamity in the CBD – which resulted in a major setback and huge delay to black masses of our people using public transport to commute to and from work,” he said.
