LADY ZAMAR HINTS AT ENDING LIFE AFTER SJAVA FAN ABUSE

In 2019, Lady Zamar accused her ex-boyfriend Sjava of raping her and inflicting sexual and emotional abuse on her.

The couple dated secretly for a year before the incident, which she detailed in a Twitter thread in 2019.

Sjava maintained his innocence throughout the lengthy ordeal, which was thrown out of court in 2020 by the NPA. Since then, Lady Zamar has faced a barrage of insults from social media users, who’ve accused her of “lying.”

This week, the singer had fans concerned after the cyberbullying became unbearable.

She tweeted on Sunday, 16 July:: “Why do you guys hate me so much? How have I become such an easy target for you guys?

“You guys don’t know me or my full story, and you don’t know why I’ve kept quiet for such a long time…you guys have no idea how you break a person.

“I can’t move on from your assumptions of what happened to me… you’ve made your opinions my truth… what’s the end goal of all this hate, and why are you so determined to believe a story that’s not even full or mine?… when I try to tell you my truth you guys don’t wanna hear it when I try to move on you guys attack me”.

She added: “Do you want me to kill myself? Do you want me to die, be murdered, go to jail to make you guys happy… do you guys want me to stop making music or publicly cry so you can see how I actually feel about what happened to me?”

Lady Zamar then posted a picture of a noose used in hangings. The caption read: “Solution sometimes to your problems.”

The singer has since reassured her fans that she is mentally and physically ok. She tweeted on Tuesday morning: “You will be okay… no matter how long it takes, no matter how many battles you need to fight, trust me; you will be okay.”

WOMEN FOR CHANGE: ‘WE BELIEVE HER’

Following her concerning tweets, GBV activists Women For Change spoke out in her defence.

They shared in a social media statement: “The harassment of Lady Zamar and her supporters must end! This already has far-reaching consequences for survivors to report domestic and sexual abuse.

“Every survivor should be able to report abuse and speak up without fear of retaliation or intimidation.

“Just because there was not enough evidence does not mean the incident did not happen. We believe survivors, always!”

TV and radio personality Anele Mdoda also pledged to support the singer. She tweeted: “Chin up, baby girl. Hurt people hurt people”.
