The public disagreements between King Misuzulu and Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has turned political. The ANC in KZN has deployed Zweli Mkhize to quell the feud in the royal house. While the IFP’s Zululand Mayor Thulasizwe Buthelezi has accused royal spokesperson Prince Africa Zulu of being a useful idiot for the ANC.
ZULULAND MAYOR ISSUES SCATHING LETTER
In a statement issued using the municipality’s letterhead, the Mayor titled it ‘Prince Africa is an ANC Project’

“Prince Africa’s persistent trend of undermining the authority and contradicting the public statements of the King’s Prime Minister, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, is a politically calculated ploy sponsored by the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal” he says.

“We warn Prince Africa to get off his high horse and immediately desist from being used as a useful idoit to advance the political programme of the ANC.”
“Others before him have attempted to use the role of royal spokesperson at attack Prince Buthelezi and they gave failed dismally. Prince Africa will also surely fail”, he concludes.
ROYAL SPOKESPERSON CLEARS THE AIR OVER FEUD
Speaking on Gagasi FM, Prince Africa says the statement issued by the Mayor should have been done using the IFP’s stationary and not a government entity as the tone of the letter is clearly political.
The Prince also says the disagreements all stem from the Ingonyama Trust.

“All this comes from the appointment at Ingonyama Trust. Buthelezi wanted Judge Jerome Ngwenya to continue as chair because be does things that favour the IFP” says Zulu.
“Whereas the King wants the royal house to remain non political and appoint someone who is a chief and is a stakeholder in the trust.”
ZULU ROYAL HOUSE FIGHTS TO REMAIN APOLITICAL
The royal spokesperson says as the country nears elections, the Royal House should not appear to favour one particular political party and endorsed by the King.
“Politics and the Royal House is just oil and water- it does not mix” says Zulu.
The traditional Prime Minister has shot at the ANC in KZN for deploying Zweli Mkhize.

“Why then must a political party now seek to mediate a non-existing feud, when the Royal Family can resolve its own internal matters, if such matters arise? And why do matters of the Ingonyama Trust arise now?”,says Prince Buthelezi
“Such conflation of issues is rather malicious. I have been at pains throughout my career to separate politics from traditional matters. It is therefore painful to see politics at play now”, he concludes.
