Eskom on Wednesday afternoon confirmed that load shedding will return during the day for the rest of the week.

This is due to delays in returning units to service which has hurt available capacity after a period of improved load shedding around the country.
At the time of publishing, Stage 3 load shedding is in operation and will continue until midnight at which point it will be suspended until 05:00 on Thursday.
Stage 1 will then kick in and continue until 16:00 on Thursday at which point Stage 3 will then again be implemented.
This pattern will repeat until the weekend.

Meanwhile, the City of Cape Town adjusted its schedule following the Eskom announcement.
At the time of publishing, City of Cape Town customers are experiencing Stage 1 load shedding until midnight.

Thereafter, until 05:00 on Thursday, load shedding will be suspended.
From Thursday at 05:00 until midnight, Stage 1 will return.
This pattern will repeat until the weekend.
