Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Shane McGregor has slammed the club for the situation regarding head coach Arthur Zwane.

The club has already started their pre-season and McGregor said the situation doen’t make sense.

“Is Zwane going to be there? I’m not sure if they made a decision to keep him. If you bring in a coach now, who is buying the players? It’s like Richards Bay, they have fired the coach, but they have been buying players,” said the former Chiefs forward.

“What if a coach comes in and he doesn’t like the players that have been bought and they don’t suit his style of play? It is ridiculous, to be honest. They [Kaizer Chiefs] should have sorted this out a long time ago.”
Chiefs are yet to give a statement regarding Zwane’s situation but Nabi has confirmed in recent weeks that he was in talks with Amakhosi.

Zwane, on the otherhand, would love to coach for another season as he remains optimistic on charging the club’s fortunes.
Amakhosi are yet to announce their pre-season training plans unlike their rivals; Orlando Pirates will tour Spain while Mamelodi Sundowns are also set to tour Europe next month.
